Homework Statement


A small map shows Atlanta to be 730 miles in a direction of 5 degrees north of east from Dallas. The same map shows that Chicago is 560 miles in a direction of 21 degrees west of north from Atlanta. Assume a flat Eath and use this information to find the displacement from Dallas to Chicago

I would have used the trig functions but I don't have a clue since the triangle was not right.

Ps. We have not learned this yet in class but I want to get an upper hand
 
can anyone at least provide me with a link or explanation on how to do these type of questions?? I just want to know how so I can do it myself

Consider each location as a vector.

What is the angle of each vector with the x-axis (the East-West line on a compass)?
