Can you post what you have tried?
What have you found with your Google searching about using MATLAB to do this? What have you found at the mathworks website? Do they have any tutorials that are similar to this problem?John Daff said:you don't believe me :D?
i try to draw this square wave function (-k W k ) on a paper
it is the same but +ve & -ve
but i have 3 problems
1- i learned this just todaaay
2- the doc Need this homework tomorrow i don't know how i am not a superman
3- i don't know the code or how i draw it in MATLAB as Fourier expansion
i didn't found the same also this is my first time in this lesson i don't know where i searchberkeman said:What have you found with your Google searching about using MATLAB to do this? What have you found at the mathworks website? Do they have any tutorials that are similar to this problem?
Sorry, by the PF rules, we are not allowed to help you until you show some effort.John Daff said:i didn't found the same also this is my first time in this lesson i don't know where i search
the real problem that the Doc learned us today and want to this homework tomorrow
the time goo fast
ok please tell me where i searchberkeman said:Sorry, by the PF rules, we are not allowed to help you until you show some effort.

A Fourier series is a mathematical representation of a periodic function as a sum of sinusoidal functions with different amplitudes and frequencies.
In Matlab, the "fft" function can be used to calculate the Fourier series of a given function. This function takes the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of a signal and returns the complex amplitudes of the sinusoidal components.
A square wave is a periodic function that can be represented as a sum of sinusoidal functions with different amplitudes and frequencies. It is often used as an example to demonstrate the concept of Fourier series because it has a simple and well-defined shape.
To plot a Fourier series of a square wave in Matlab, the "fft" function can be used to calculate the complex amplitudes of the sinusoidal components, and the "ifft" function can be used to inverse transform the amplitudes back into the time domain. The resulting signal can then be plotted using the "plot" function.
Fourier series have a wide range of applications in various fields such as signal processing, image and sound compression, data analysis, and solving differential equations. They are also used in physics, engineering, and other scientific fields to model and analyze periodic phenomena.
