Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around finding a pre-made frequency display module suitable for use in a PWM circuit as a frequency reference, specifically within the context of car audio technology. Participants explore options for inexpensive and simple solutions.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant seeks a frequency display module that can connect to a transistor for oscillation reference, emphasizing the need for simplicity due to their background as a car audio technician.
  • Another participant inquires about the frequency range needed, suggesting that some digital voltmeters, like the Fluke 87, have built-in frequency measurement capabilities up to 200KHz.
  • A different participant shares a search result for kit frequency counters, indicating that there are various options available online.
  • The original poster clarifies that they do not require a testing device but rather an add-on module specifically for a PWM circuit.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants have not reached a consensus on a specific module or solution, and multiple viewpoints regarding the type of device needed remain present.

Contextual Notes

There are limitations regarding the specific requirements for the frequency display module, including the need for compatibility with PWM circuits and the desired frequency range, which have not been fully defined.

Who May Find This Useful

Car audio technicians, hobbyists in electronics, and individuals interested in frequency measurement and display solutions for PWM applications.

Hell oI am trying to find a pre-made frequency display module that I connect to a transistor for oscillation reference.
Does anyone know a good place to get a cheap one.
Im only a car audio tech so i need something simple.

How high of a frequency? Some DVMs like a Fluke 87 have this built in already and is good to 200KHz.

Yeah I don't need a testing device I need a add on module for a PWM circuit for frequency reference.Yeah like this.Thanks.
