From where is the universe expanding?

SUMMARY

The universe is expanding uniformly without a defined center or edges, as confirmed by current cosmological understanding. This intrinsic expansion increases the distances between objects throughout the cosmos. The discussion emphasizes that the expansion is not stable, highlighting the dynamic nature of the universe. For further insights, the Friedmann equation is referenced as a valuable resource.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of cosmology principles
  • Familiarity with the Friedmann equation
  • Basic knowledge of the Big Bang theory
  • Concept of metric expansion of space
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the Friedmann equation in detail
  • Explore the implications of the Big Bang theory on cosmic expansion
  • Study the concept of metric expansion of space
  • Investigate current theories on dark energy and its role in expansion
USEFUL FOR

Astronomers, cosmologists, physics students, and anyone interested in understanding the dynamics of the universe's expansion.

Is it expanding from the edges?
Or from the center?

As far as we can tell there is no center nor any edges. The expansion is an intrinsic increase in distances between objects.

At all? Or not stable because of the constant expansion of it?

At all.
