To increase speed in a wind turbine application, a helical gearbox with a 1:15 ratio is suggested to boost output from 100 RPM to 1500 RPM. Worm gearboxes are not suitable for speed increase, as they primarily reduce speed. The choice of gearbox depends on the specific application and desired outcomes. Participants in the discussion emphasize the importance of matching the gearbox with the generator's optimal rotational speed. Selecting the right gearbox type is crucial for achieving efficient performance in wind turbine systems.

hello

i want buy gearbox for increase the speed
i know that worm gearbox cannot use for increase the speed..just for reduce speed

what is the type of gearbox can i use for increasing the speed

there is gearbox types
- Bevel Gearbox
- Helical Gearbox
- Planetary Gearbox
- Sequential Gearbox
- Spiral Bevel Gearbox
- Worm Reduction Gearbox

please help me

Please, please please edit your post and make the text a sensible size.

Also it completely depends on application, what are you trying to achieve with this new gearbox?

hi xxChrisxx
i will made wind turbine and i will get about 100 rpm with high torque
i want buy gearbox 1:15 and use it to increase the speed from 100rpm to 1500 rpm.. so i will connect the Output shaft to wind turbine and Input shaft with the alternator

i want buy Series Helical gearbox

what do you think?

what do you think?

what kind of generator are you using? and what is the optimum rotational speed that it operates at

Had my central air system checked when it sortta wasn't working. I guess I hadn't replaced the filter. Guy suggested I might want to get a UV filter accessory. He said it would "kill bugs and particulates". I know UV can kill the former, not sure how he thinks it's gonna murder the latter. Now I'm finding out there's more than one type of UV filter: one for the air flow and one for the coil. He was suggesting we might get one for the air flow, but now we'll have to change the bulb...
