The discussion revolves around a physics-related crossword puzzle, specifically addressing the challenge of fitting the word "Diversion" and seeking help for specific terms. Participants clarify that while they cannot provide direct answers due to forum rules, they can offer hints and guidance. The term "VCSEL" and the concept of "Rayleigh scattering" are highlighted as relevant to solving the puzzle, with a suggestion to research "Wavelength division multiplexing" for additional context.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic physics terminology
  • Familiarity with crossword puzzle strategies
  • Knowledge of optical physics concepts, specifically Rayleigh scattering
  • Awareness of VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) technology
NEXT STEPS
  • Research "Rayleigh scattering" and its implications in physics
  • Learn about "Wavelength division multiplexing" and its applications
  • Explore the concept of "VCSEL" and its relevance in optical communications

here's the partially completed, changed a few words which were possibly wrong. But still the word Diversion doesn't fit.

Welcome to the PF.

It is hard for us to help you on this question, because we are not allowed to give answers to schoolwork questions. We can give hints, ask questions, etc., but the PF rules are clear that we cannot give answers. Perhaps crossword puzzle assignments are not well suited to the kind of tutorial help that we can give here...

well its not exactly a homework just a game between us friends. Is it possible to give the answers to just VCSEL - S/Diversion and the another 3 letter word connecting with s/diversion?

Rayleigh scattering is responsible for the blue colour of the sky.
