here's the partially completed, changed a few words which were possibly wrong. But still the word Diversion doesn't fit.

It is hard for us to help you on this question, because we are not allowed to give answers to schoolwork questions. We can give hints, ask questions, etc., but the PF rules are clear that we cannot give answers. Perhaps crossword puzzle assignments are not well suited to the kind of tutorial help that we can give here...
 
well its not exactly a homework just a game between us friends. Is it possible to give the answers to just VCSEL - S/Diversion and the another 3 letter word connecting with s/diversion?
 
Rayleigh scattering is responsible for the blue colour of the sky.
