SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on designing a hearing aid pick-up coil circuit, specifically a telecoil, to be integrated with a transistor amplifier that operates on a 3V supply. The user has successfully created a transistor amplifier with Automatic Gain Control (AGC) but is struggling to find a suitable pick-up coil circuit. They reference a specific circuit from Talking Electronics as a basis for their microphone amplifier and seek assistance in locating a simple telecoil circuit design.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of transistor amplifier design
  • Familiarity with Automatic Gain Control (AGC) principles
  • Knowledge of audio induction loops
  • Basic electronics and circuit design skills
NEXT STEPS
  • Research telecoil circuit designs for hearing aids
  • Explore audio induction loop technology
  • Study the specifications and applications of AGC in audio circuits
  • Investigate alternative pick-up coil configurations and their performance
USEFUL FOR

Electronics hobbyists, audio engineers, and designers of hearing aid technology who are interested in integrating pick-up coil circuits into their projects.

Hello,

As the title suggests my query relates to hearing aid pick up coil circuits! I'm currently designing a small analogue listening device (a Transistor amplifier with a microphone input...simple!) however, I'm going beyond that and want to incorporate a small pick-up coil into the circuit, this would demonstrate 'Induction loops'. I have a good transistor amplifier circuit (3V supply) with AGC characteristics but I'm really having trouble finding an pick-up coil (telecoil) circuit...I exhausted google's stock of sites.

Does anyone have a simple circuit (preferably 3V supply input)?

Thanks

(For reference, circuit 2 in the page below is the circuit I'm basing my microphone amp on)
