The discussion revolves around a person feeling taken advantage of in a friendship after a girl they helped with math began discussing her romantic interests openly. The individual initially believed there was potential for a deeper relationship after she broke up with her boyfriend, but felt hurt when she invited him to lunch only to talk about other guys. Responses suggest that the girl may not be aware of his feelings and that communication is crucial to clarify intentions and expectations. Many contributors emphasize the importance of mutual respect and the need for the individual to express his feelings rather than harboring resentment.
