AI Thread Summary
Acoustic Emission (AE) techniques are utilized for technical maintenance to detect cracks in materials. In the context of Earth science and geophysics, AE can be applied to investigate the Earth's crust and its historical changes. Resources and tutorials on AE signal processing are sought for a deeper understanding of its applications in studying geological phenomena. The discussion highlights a need for educational materials that bridge the gap between AE techniques and their relevance to Earth history and natural investigations.

Could you please give me some pages or materials about this AE ?

Where can i find out some nice tutorials ?

Thanks

I'm not sure what you're asking. As far as I know Accoustic or Acoustic Emission techniques are techncal maintaince techniques to investigate if there are cracks in materials. In Earth science (Geophysics) we have seismic survey, is this what you mean?

Thanks Andre,
Okay, truthfuly, I want to know about AE (signal processing), and its use in investigating Earth's crust, nature, etc much relating to our Earth history. i would like to know if there is anyone here having done something like this before...

These last days, there is a seemingly endless cluster of rather powerful earthquakes close to the islands of Santorini, Amorgos, Anafi, and Ios.
