Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around seeking assistance from HVAC engineers or physicists, specifically regarding heat transfer concepts. Participants express curiosity about the topic and suggest appropriate forums for posting questions related to HVAC and heat transfer.

Discussion Character

  • Meta-discussion, Conceptual clarification

Main Points Raised

  • Some participants inquire about finding HVAC engineers or physicists to discuss heat transfer.
  • One participant suggests posting questions in the Mechanical Engineering forum for HVAC-related inquiries and in the Classical Physics forum for heat transfer questions.
  • Another participant emphasizes the importance of showing prior effort in research when asking questions to receive better assistance.
  • A participant mentions a specific user, @russ_watters, as a potential resource for help.
  • There is a suggestion that creating a new thread in the appropriate forum would be the best course of action.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants generally agree on the need to post questions in the appropriate forums and the importance of demonstrating prior effort, but there is no consensus on specific questions or topics to be discussed.

Contextual Notes

Participants have not specified particular assumptions or detailed questions regarding heat transfer, and the discussion remains focused on how to seek help rather than on the technical aspects of HVAC engineering.

Who May Find This Useful

Of course. We have a number of such folks here. Post your question in the ME forum (for HVAC questions) or the Classical Physics forum (for heat transfer questions), and post links to the reading you have been doing so far to try to answer your own question. The more effort you can show in your posts, the better help we can provide. Thanks.

OK thanks. Probably need to think a bit more about the specifics.

@russ_watters might be of help. You can look him up and maybe PM or direct a post at him.

Thanks...a new thread in the appropriate forum (presumably mechanical engineering) would be best.
