AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around inserting subscripts in the app Diagrams.net, specifically for the notation ##f_{2,G_2}##. Users express difficulty in adding a subscript to ##G##, with initial suggestions indicating that subscripts to subscripts are not supported. A workaround is proposed by using the underscore "_" for subscripts. Additionally, users mention the option of using LaTeX for mathematical typesetting by selecting "Extras" and then "Mathematical typesetting," which allows for proper formatting of expressions like \(f_{2,G_2}\). The conversation highlights the importance of exploring app features to find solutions.

I want to inset the following text ##f_{2,G_2}##, but it seems I cannot include a subscript to ##G## in the following app:
https://app.diagrams.net
am I missing something? can it be done?
Thanks!

I mean how to write the second 2 in ##G_2##? where I want the following to be typed: ##f_{2,G_2}##.

Subscript to a subscript? It seems that is not possible.

OK, then I'll use the old "_".

Or maybe use something else, like tikz in LaTeX (which is, BTW, a bit complex).

Oh I see!

Select Extras -> Mathematical typesetting and then you can use ## \LaTeX ## e.g. \(f_{2,G_2}\)

Thanks, you are a genius! should have played around with the app myself, I guess I would have found it eventually... nonetheless thanks!
