I'm writing a story/novel at the moment and need some info. Can anyone give me a list of current concepts for interplanetary travel?
The discussion revolves around concepts for interplanetary travel, particularly in the context of writing science fiction stories. Participants explore both current technological ideas and more speculative, imaginative approaches, considering the implications of these concepts for storytelling.
Participants express a range of views on the balance between realism and imagination in science fiction. There is no consensus on which concepts are preferable, and multiple competing ideas about the use of technology in storytelling remain present.
Participants acknowledge limitations in their understanding of the mathematics involved in near-light-speed travel and the speculative nature of some proposed technologies. The discussion reflects a variety of assumptions about the feasibility of different travel methods.

So is this within the Solar System? Going outside requires orders of magnitude more energy to travel in a reasonable amount of time.kurushio95 said:never leave home without it. And I only need realistic tech for the portion of the story that I'm at.
