How did you find PF?
A friend sent me a link to a research article about how readers glean more information from paper text than from online/ screen text .... interesting!
I read the article about reading on paper and then also an article about cover songs... I appreciate the variety in discussions. We'll see where it goes from here.

Had to look up "DU neighborhood", but then again I'm not an American native. Welcome.

Thanks. Sorry.... I'm by the University of Denver, in Colorado. Didn't mean to cause difficulties. Thanks!

I wasn't familiar with the DU reference either, but I worked in Northglenn for Bell Labs for a few years after school. Very nice area. Are you a skier?

Hi! I *am* a skier. And a hiker and a camper. How did you like Bell Labs (besides that you left)?

The Denver/Boulder area is beautiful for skiing and hiking. I wouldn't have left Bell Labs but I missed California too much (I'm a diver). Bell eventually closed the Denver lab down, so I guess I would have been moving either way, but Denver and Northglenn and Boulder will always be fond memories for me.

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
