Kinematics of rigid rotor - angular acceleration

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the angular acceleration of rod BD in a rigid rotor system, specifically addressing question 15.258. The participant questions the correctness of their solution, which involved using the tangent of 25 degrees in their final equation. The conversation emphasizes the importance of correctly applying angular acceleration equations and the distinction between tangential and normal components in the analysis.

My question is why the answer of question 15.258 (a) about the angular acceleration of rod BD isn't correct.
I used the realtion of tan(25) in the end of the solution.

Please explain your reasoning.

Is my equations are ok and you are only asking about the final equation with tan(25) and the t component and the n component?
