Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting issues with a motor and a Den-ester that do not start when the start button is pressed, both in auto and manual modes. Participants are seeking guidance on what input and output signals to check from the drive, as there are no error messages displayed on the screen.

Discussion Character

  • Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant inquires about the specific points to check for input and output signals from the drive when the start button is pressed.
  • Another participant asks for clarification on what a Den-ester is, the type of machine it refers to, and its manufacturer.
  • A third participant provides a link to a website explaining denesting as a process of taking things apart in assembly, suggesting a definition for the term.
  • A later reply suggests using auditory checks to determine if the contactor or relays are being energized, while also cautioning about safety when checking electrical phases.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants have not reached a consensus on the troubleshooting steps or the definition of the Den-ester, as there are differing views and additional questions raised.

Contextual Notes

There are limitations in the discussion regarding the lack of specific details about the machine's electrical drawings and the absence of error messages, which may affect the troubleshooting process.

Hello everyone,

Please let me know when we press start button on screen for Motor and Den-ester in auto and manual mode why it is not starting?, which points i have to check for input and output signals from drive.

Have you used your ear to determine if the contactor (or other relays) is being energized? Sure you want to stick your meter-probe/fingers near the phases?
