I'm going to be applying for school in the next couple of years and I want to study engineering. However, I may want to move around throughout my life and I was wondering which engineering(s) have the best worldwide demand? Don't be alarmed, I won't study anything I dislike just because of the demand, but it is a factor in my decision. Also, I am curious as to what kind of engineers are in high demand in certain countries, so any information you can throw at me is greatly appreciated.

As my physics prof always says, an engineer's an engineer. It all depends on how you sell yourself. If I specialize in fluid flow with my aerospace degree, I'd probably be more marketable than the mechanical engineer that specialized in robotics. But really, I think the best answer I can give you (and I hate myself for it) is Civil Engineering. Even poor as dirt African communities need bridges and roads and sewers.

That was my thought, too - good old CE. Infrastructure is destiny!
