The discussion focuses on multiphase flow in pipes at high Mach numbers, specifically in the range of 0.3 to over 1, with an emphasis on accident analysis. Participants highlight the importance of considering choked flow conditions during pipe ruptures, where liquid can flash to steam in transient situations. Several references on transonic two-phase flow are mentioned, although many require paid access. A specific white paper from a private company on transonic flow is provided as a resource. The user is seeking additional links for accessing relevant papers and articles on the topic.

Hello everyone
I am currently working on multiphase flow in pipe. Will you guys suggest any reference for multiphase flow in pipe with high Mach number (Experiment and Simulation)?
Thanks in Advance.

What range of Mach numbers is one considering? Is this state for steady-state application or accident analysis?

For a pipe or vessel rupture under high pressure, one must consider a chocked flow as liquid flashes to steam, but that is a transient situation.

There are many papers on transonic two phase flow, but they require subscription or paid access.

At least on private company has produced a white paper on transonic flow.

Thank you, Sir. Will you please send the links where I can subscribe and get such papers/articles?

The Mach number that I am considering is 0.3-1+. Also, it is more in terms of accident analysis. Please suggest the websites/links.
Thanks

What type of energy is actually stored inside an atom? When an atom is split—such as in a nuclear explosion—it releases enormous energy, much of it in the form of gamma-ray electromagnetic radiation. Given this, is it correct to say that the energy stored in the atom is fundamentally electromagnetic (EM) energy? If not, how should we properly understand the nature of the energy that binds the nucleus and is released during fission?
