Hi

I need a companion text for my intro Mechanics of Materials book by Beers. I am somewhat frustrated in the inconsistency in explanation it will review a statics topic in excruciating detail then gloss over an important detail. I feel with another book in hand I should be able to conquer the subject. Teacher route is not an option as dialogue is difficult so need to be able to clear up details on my own.

Thanks in advance

I have always used http://vig-fp.prenhall.com/bigcovers/0132209918.jpg" text. I really have no basis for comparison; but I do not have too many complaints about his text. I would be surprised if your school library did not have an edition. I used 7th, but I bet 5th or 6th would be fine too.
