if an object is at the base of a beaker does it feel upthurst even though there is no liquid below it

If all the liquid between an object and the base of the beaker is excluded (very difficult) there will be no upthrust.

If some parts of the underside of the object are resting on the bottom and some parts are in contact with the fluid there will be some upthrust, but less than that given by Archimedes Law.
