Problem on heat transfer on multilayer

  1. Jun 8, 2009 #1
    Hi everyone...

I am doing a problem on heat transfer on multilayers... want to find out the emmisivity of some materials like silicon, silicon dioxide, Nickel, Tungten... Can anyone suggest me some papers or links or good books to get the emmisivty of these materials....

    Thanks in advance

    Re: emmisivity

There's a lot of online information, for example:

    http://www.astro.spbu.ru/JPDOC/1-dbase.html

    http://www.omega.com/literature/transactions/volume1/emissivity.html

    http://www.infrared-thermography.com/material-1.htm

    A great reference paper is:

    M. A. Ordal, Robert J. Bell, R. W. Alexander,Jr, L. L. Long, and M. R. Querry, "Optical properties of fourteen metals in the infrared and far infrared: Al, Co, Cu, Au, Fe, Pb, Mo, Ni, Pd, Pt, Ag, Ti, V, and W.," Appl. Opt. 24, 4493-4499 (1985)
