Project idea in Numeric Analysis

Click For Summary
A request for a paper idea on differential equations highlights the need for a project that can be completed in two to three days and includes graphical elements. The discussion emphasizes the challenge of quickly developing learning curves and suggests that the feasibility of such a project heavily relies on the individual's existing skills. It notes that writing and debugging code can be time-consuming, and executing the code across various parameters to derive meaningful insights about the studied system adds to the complexity of the task.

hey,
need an idea for a paper on differential equations, which can be implemented in two or three days work.
also it will be nice if that paper has graphs on it.
any help would be most welcome
thx

It is hard to come up learning curves quickly, so such a project would depend strongly on what you already can do.

Writing and debugging good code usually took me longer than that, much less executing the code over a range of parameters to say something interesting about the system under study.

TL;DR: Jackson or Zangwill for Electrodynamics? Hi, I want to learn ultrafast optics and I am interested in condensed matter physics, ie using ultrafast optics in condensed matter systems. However, before I get onto ultrafast optics I need to improve my electrodynamics knowledge. Should I study Jackson or Zangwill for Electrodynamics? My level at the moment is Griffiths. Given my interest in ultrafast optics in condensed matter, I am not sure which book is better suited for me. If...
