QFT around fixed classical backgrounds

Hi all,

Does anyone know a decent set of notes/book dealing with issues re: quantum fluctuations around a (fixed) classical background? In particular say, scalar QED with a fixed background E&M field.

I assume you mean you want a text where the background spacetime is arbitrary, and not simply Minkowski.

If its the latter, well there are a million QFT books.

For QFT on curved spacetime, the two canonical references are Birrel and Davies, and Wald.
