Don't news channels have there own reporters around the world for reporting news? Then, what kind of channels would buy Reuters' news reports?

Also I didn't understand the red part.

Reuters has its own staff who collect news about events around the world. They focus on particular sectors of society, e.g., politics/government, financial markets, businesses, etc. They analyze the news for impact on financial markets and economies, and they sell that analysis.

Here are two pages on what ThomsonReuters does -

They also provide legal advice and business advice, as well as software and hardware systems. For example, ThomsonReuters maintains FindLaw.

News organizations do have their own reporters, but many organizations have reduced staff and instead purchase news stories from AP, AFP, Reuters, Bloomberg, . . . .
