SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on using HDSDR software with a dongle to record spectrum data in a structured format, specifically {frequency, level}. Users have successfully recorded audio output as .wav files but face challenges in capturing spectrum data for further processing. While screen capture methods using Alt+PrintScreen and Ctrl+PrintScreen are mentioned, these do not meet the user's requirement for data capture. The need for a dedicated solution for capturing spectrum data is emphasized.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with HDSDR software
  • Understanding of digital signal processing concepts
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating system functionalities
  • Experience with data processing techniques
NEXT STEPS
  • Research methods for exporting spectrum data from HDSDR
  • Explore third-party tools for screen data capture
  • Investigate data processing libraries for handling frequency and level data
  • Learn about alternative SDR software that supports direct data export
USEFUL FOR

Radio enthusiasts, software-defined radio (SDR) users, and data analysts looking to capture and process spectrum data from HDSDR software.

Hello. I use HDHSDR software with my dongle and I need to record displayed spectrum. I've found how to record sound (.wav) but not yet how to record spectrum in a way for instance {frequency, level}. I spent a lot of time in searching such an information but with no sucess.

Using Windows:
to capture the active window: use Alt+PrintScreen
to capture the full screen: use Ctrl+PrintScreen

The image is captured to the Clipbboard (as if you used Ctrl+C) and can be copied to graphics programs or some text editors using Ctrl+V.

to capture a video of the screen, you must use another program. Search Google for 'screen capture'

Thanks for reply, but my wish is not to capture screen but to capture data, to be able to process them later.
