Solve ANSYS Workbench Geometry with Beams, Frames, and Thugs | Steps to Success

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on troubleshooting an ANSYS Workbench geometry issue involving two beams, five frames, and thugs for fixed supports. The user successfully imported the geometry, cleaned it, and meshed it, but encountered an error during the solution phase, specifically an "unknown error occurred during solution." Suggestions include checking the Solver Output for potential causes and increasing the page size to resolve the issue.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench software
  • Understanding of geometry cleaning techniques in CAD
  • Knowledge of meshing processes in finite element analysis
  • Experience with applying boundary conditions and loads in simulations
NEXT STEPS
  • Investigate ANSYS Workbench Solver Output for error diagnostics
  • Learn how to increase page size settings in ANSYS Workbench
  • Research best practices for geometry cleaning in ANSYS
  • Explore troubleshooting techniques for common ANSYS simulation errors
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, simulation analysts, and anyone working with ANSYS Workbench who is facing geometry setup and solution issues in finite element analysis.

I have done the following Steps on a geometry consisting of
2 Beams
5 Frames
and an outer covering over that with Thugs on it for fix supports
Steps
1. Import Geometry to Workbench
2. Geometry cleaning(Suppressing the unwanted parts and sheet )
3. Open it in design Modeler
4. Meshing was Successful
5. Fixed supports were given
6. Forces applied
7. And giving it the required info I put it on Solution for Total Deformation and Equivalent Stress
But it wasn't Solved rather giving the following error message
"AN unknown error occurred during solution. Check the Solver Output on the Solution Information object for possible causes.
I can send the pics at different steps, if needed
Please Anyone related to Ansys Workbench software, help to solve this Problem
Thank You

I've not used ANSYS workbench but a quick google search suggested that you may need to increase the page size.
