[solved] tag in front of thread title?

What does the [solved] tag do here when its put in front of a title. Does it mean an adequate solution was obtained for a thread as far as an advisor is concerned, is it a dog whistle to not participate further?

What forum are you seeing that tag available for editing into the thread title? So far I'm not seeing it in the forums I've checked (including HH/Intro Physics). Can you link to a couple threads that have that tag?

Maybe it's just been edited in manually by the OP or a Mentor?

It's not a tag I guess. I just noticed [solved] showed up in front of the title of this thread

I felt it's a bit premature to classify it as solved. But maybe the OP considers the issue resolved.

I'm not able to see if the OP edited the title to add that (I can see that no Mentors or Admins have edited that thread) but perhaps the OP @fulano did that after he liked the great reply by @jrmichler -- in any case, if you see a [Solved] in the thread title but still have more to add, please feel free.

Actually, I added because at the time I recalculated and thought it was correct, but now I woke up and saw that my math was incorrect.
Now I can't edit the tittle again, lol
