Solving a Quadratic Equation: Finding the Minimum

Click For Summary
The discussion focuses on solving a quadratic equation and determining its minimum value. Participants note that the graph of the equation forms a parabola that opens upward due to the positive coefficient (a > 0). There is uncertainty about how to find the specific minimum value. The importance of showing work and attempting the problem is emphasized. Overall, the conversation highlights the need for a structured approach to solving quadratic equations.

The Attempt at a Solution

Looks like the graph would be a parabola?
And since it's a>0 it would be upward and therefore a minimum. Not sure what that would be. Unsure how to solve the rest[/B]

Nevertheless, you need to try, and to show us your work.
