[itex]|A>=a|c>+b|d>[/itex]
where a and b are complex numbers.
So, is it correct to say that
[itex]<A|=a^{*}<c|+b^{*}<d|[/itex]
?

for sure. you should get a quantum textbook though for these types of questions. Griffiths, Balentine, Mesiah, Sakurai they are all good and have answers to those types of questions everywhere.
