Users are experiencing issues with being recognized as logged in on certain pages, particularly when accessing from private messages. The search page offers limited functionality, lacking options for date range or author filtering. Insights pages display a message indicating that users must be logged in to comment, but clicking the link redirects them to a login page that confirms they are already logged in. The login for Insights is managed separately through a WordPress plugin for XenForo, which only applies to Insights authors. The discussion highlights ongoing confusion regarding the login process and its inconsistencies across different sections of the site.

--This problem occured when accessed from a PM. Was OK when accessed from the home page.

The Search page shows a minimal interface, no options for date range, author. etc, only has field for Key Words.

--This problem occurs regardless of where it is accessed from.
An Insights page,
https://www.physicsforums.com/insights/what-are-significant-figures-a-5-minute-introduction/

shows message at the bottom "You must be logged in to post a comment."
When logged in is clicked, it takes me to the login page which shows I'm already logged in.

Thanks, that partly explains the Insights situation. But doesn't explain why it sends me back the the regular PF login.

Still waiting for the situation from a PM (Private Message).

I have some solemn news to report. Many in the community had been wondering where the prolific @Vanadium 50 has been. V50 hasn't posted a message in nearly a year. After months of questioning, the mentor group dug in and did some investigation and we're confident V50 passed away early this year. Few members need reminding what kind of force @Vanadium 50 was for the community and physics. A mentor for 5+ years and an annual award winner seemingly every other year. He has a top 10 post count...
