SUMMARY

The forum discussion centers on the Brain Type System, specifically the Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Systemizing Quotient (SQ) tests, which categorize individuals into types based on their scores. Participants shared their scores, with the average scores for women being around 47 for EQ and men around 42, while those with Asperger Syndrome typically score lower. The conversation also delves into the implications of these scores, questioning the relationship between brain types and analytical abilities, particularly in the context of social functioning and job performance. Participants expressed skepticism about the tests' framing and discussed the differences in thinking styles between E-types and S-types.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Systemizing Quotient (SQ) tests
  • Familiarity with Asperger Syndrome and its characteristics
  • Knowledge of cognitive styles: analytic vs. holistic thinking
  • Awareness of gender differences in cognitive abilities and test scores
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the implications of EQ and SQ scores on personal and professional development
  • Explore the relationship between cognitive styles and job performance in analytical roles
  • Investigate the cultural influences on analytic and holistic thinking
  • Examine the validity and reliability of the EQ and SQ tests in psychological assessments
USEFUL FOR

Individuals interested in psychology, educators, HR professionals, and anyone seeking to understand cognitive differences and their impact on social interactions and career paths.

In which ranges were your scores for each of the two tests?

my E was 27, then I got bored. So I only checked the "I am male" box

oops. I was born male so change my answer.

i do not have the patience to answer all those stupid repetitive questions, which pretty much tells you my score.

and i thought the thread title meant does it fit in my skull.

I scored a 21-44, extreme S.

I think it's somewhat of a good sign that none of the individuals with extremely high S forgot to specify their sex. On the other hand, a few of the individuals supposedly good at analyzing and exploring a system overlooked some significant details of the poll. Bob, you forgot an important detail. You check the last box only if you were born a male. So apparently a few of the members here have changed their sex since they were born.

I got E32 and S42, but I disagree with the E32.

I empathize all the time but some of those questions were borderline so I didn't know what to choose. So, when I took the S test, I was more aggressive with my answers, and I got basically what I would have got. I did not read the articles before hand.

Is it just me or are the questions displayed in 11 Angstrom type?

 Well, I'm definitely not female - I'm just balanced. Well - h*! - I'll have to do something about that.
