SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the use of the GENPMAXS tool for generating XS files from HELIOS output files for PARCS code. The user reports an issue where the process hangs at "reading Cross-section data." Recommendations include consulting the updated GENPMAXS documentation available at the University of Michigan's website and reaching out via email for support. The original Purdue site is noted as outdated, emphasizing the importance of using current resources for troubleshooting.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of PARCS code structure and requirements
  • Familiarity with GENPMAXS version and its functionalities
  • Knowledge of HELIOS output file formats
  • Basic troubleshooting skills in software usage
NEXT STEPS
  • Review the updated GENPMAXS documentation on the University of Michigan's website
  • Contact support via the email provided on the GENPMAXS webpage for specific issues
  • Explore troubleshooting techniques for handling output file errors in PARCS
  • Investigate community forums for shared experiences and solutions related to GENPMAXS

I can't answer your question directly, but the link you gave points to the old Purdue site.
You may want to look at the new site at Michigan:

There is an e-mail on the webpage to send support questions.
