Vector with magnitude A and direction B

Let's say you are given two vectors, A and B.
How would you find a new vector with the same magnitude as A and the same direction as B. I don't understand this concept. I tried approaching it using vector projections but it didn't feel right.

Divide B by its length to make it a unit vector. Then multiply it by the length of A.
