Voltage reading using a multimeter

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The voltage reading using a multimeter in the Multisim workbench software is RMS (Root Mean Square), similar to a standard voltmeter. Users can verify this reading by connecting a virtual oscilloscope within the software. This functionality allows for accurate voltage measurements in simulations, enhancing the analysis of electrical circuits.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of RMS voltage calculations
  • Familiarity with Multisim workbench software
  • Basic knowledge of virtual oscilloscopes
  • Fundamentals of electrical circuit analysis
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore the features of Multisim workbench software
  • Learn how to connect and use a virtual oscilloscope in Multisim
  • Study RMS voltage calculations in electrical engineering
  • Investigate the differences between RMS, average, and peak voltage measurements
USEFUL FOR

Electrical engineering students, educators, and professionals working with circuit simulations in Multisim, as well as anyone interested in understanding voltage measurements in virtual environments.

I believe it's RMS (just like a regular voltmeter). I also believe that you can hook up a virtual oscilloscope to confirm!

EDIT: And welcome to PhysicsForums!

Thanks a lot!:)
