Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around the software options available for simulating semiconductor gas sensors, specifically focusing on the types of simulations and the relevance to electrical engineering. Participants express their experiences and seek recommendations for suitable tools.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant inquires about the specific software used for gas sensor simulation.
  • Another participant emphasizes the need for clarification on the type of gas sensor and simulation being discussed, questioning the relevance to electrical engineering.
  • A participant mentions using Comsol for semiconductor gas sensor simulation but struggles to find suitable tutorials.
  • A later reply reiterates the use of Comsol and expresses a desire for graphical software to simulate the gas sensor mechanism, while also seeking alternatives to Quantum Espresso.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

There is no consensus on the specific software options, as participants are still clarifying the question and exploring different tools.

Contextual Notes

Participants have not defined the specific types of gas sensors or the nature of the simulations, which may affect the recommendations. The discussion also reflects a lack of available tutorials for the mentioned software.

which soft wares are used in gas sensor simulation?

You must do a better job of explaining your question before we can answer.

What gas sensor?
What kind of simulation?
Why posted under Electrical Engineering?
Many tools are used to simulate anything, is that what you mean?

Semiconductor gas sensor simulation, coz it is related to electrical branch, I've used Comsol but i couldn't find any suitable tutorial.

I'm looking for a graphical software to simulate a gas sensor mechanism. I thought "comsol multiphysics" could help me to determine the sensing mechanism of semiconductor gas sensor , but I didn't find any thing about this. I would appreciate you If you recommend an appropriate application except "quantum espresso" to help me
