how do they work? i know it had somethin to do with 2 chemicals mixing together when u press it but i want to know a detailed answer lol

it probably releases some type of sulfur compound. I am pretty sure your nose can detect sulfur as low as concentrations in ppm. when you thing of gas you are smelling sulfur compounds. the other class of things that smell really bad are carboxylic acids with short carbon chains.
