SUMMARY

The discussion centers on identifying the best and most affordable Cubesat or Tubesat projects currently available, particularly for individuals interested in joining existing satellite development groups rather than creating their own. A participant, Sabi, expresses a desire to collaborate on a satellite project, especially given the impracticality of independent development as a high school student. Resources such as Google searches for Cubesat projects at IIT India are suggested as starting points for further exploration.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Cubesat and Tubesat design principles
  • Familiarity with satellite launch opportunities and logistics
  • Basic knowledge of project collaboration in aerospace engineering
  • Awareness of crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter for project funding
NEXT STEPS
  • Research ongoing Cubesat projects at IIT India
  • Explore satellite development groups and organizations for collaboration
  • Investigate crowdfunding options for satellite projects
  • Learn about the technical requirements for building a Cubesat
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for high school students, aspiring aerospace engineers, and hobbyists interested in satellite technology and collaborative space projects.

I have been thinking over this for a long time but now I am asking to you physics family.

Do you know which is the best and affordable cube or tubesat project available currently?

Can you post some links to the reading you have been doing so far about this? And are you looking for launch opportunities for your own satellite, or are you wanting to join in with a group that is developing a satellite?

I read about the cubesat project in kickstarter but unfortunately kickstarter does not have options for India... Developing a satellite by my own seems impractical as I am a high school student so I would really really love to join a Group that is developing a satellite.

Sabi
