What is the difference between "Hexagon socket set screw with dog point DIN 915" and "Hexagon socket set screws with cup point DIN 916" about usage field?

The dog point DIN 915 is designed to enter a prepared hole or slot in the shaft.
The cup point DIN 916 is designed to cut a circular dent and so lock to the shaft.
