Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around a 6 volt timer and motor control circuit, specifically its functionality in controlling motor operation duration and speed. Participants explore the circuit's capabilities, including its use as a PWM generator for motor speed adjustment.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory
  • Technical explanation
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant questions whether the circuit controls how long a motor runs.
  • Another participant suggests that the circuit allows for speed control of a motor using a 555 timer as a PWM generator, enabling speeds from nearly 0 RPM to maximum RPM.
  • Several participants express confusion regarding the visibility of an attachment related to the circuit.
  • A participant shares links to additional resources about the circuit, indicating a potential source for more information.
  • There is a mention of issues with inserting images, with one participant noting that they can see the full image only after editing their post.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

There is no consensus on the visibility of the circuit attachment, as multiple participants report different experiences. The functionality of the circuit as a PWM generator is proposed by some, but not universally accepted or confirmed.

Contextual Notes

Participants have not reached a resolution regarding the attachment visibility issue, and the discussion includes varying experiences with browser compatibility and image insertion.

I have found this circuit and I was wondering what it did. Does it control how long a motor is running?https://www.google.com/search?q=6+volt+timer+55+motor+control+circuit&safe=strict&biw=1607&bih=834&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAmoVChMI28KE9-KkyAIVkKWICh2bxQ23#imgrc=TVAXCdSBnuQRPM%3A

No attachment?? At least I can't find it.

No attachment

Which circuit? I can't see one.

This circuit allowed you to change the speed of a motor by using 555 as a PWM generator. The speed is changing from almost 0 RPM up to the maximum RPM the motor can run.

What browser are you using that you are able to see the attachment that the rest of us can't see ?

Thanks. What is "BB code" ?

I have had this problem too, inserting some image:

Just this

will be inserted. But if I edit my post, I can see the full image.
