SUMMARY

The discussion centers on identifying the origin of a specific equation related to horizontal pipe mechanics. The equation in question is referenced through an image link provided by the user. Participants suggest consulting "Mechanics of Materials" or "Statics" by R.C. Hibbeler as valuable resources for understanding the derivation and application of the equation. The inquiry highlights the need for foundational knowledge in physics, particularly in mechanics, to grasp the equation's context.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic physics principles, particularly fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with R.C. Hibbeler's "Mechanics of Materials" or "Statics".
  • Knowledge of horizontal pipe flow dynamics.
  • Ability to interpret mathematical equations in a physical context.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the derivation of equations related to fluid dynamics in horizontal pipes.
  • Study R.C. Hibbeler's "Mechanics of Materials" for foundational concepts.
  • Explore the principles of statics as they apply to fluid systems.
  • Examine case studies involving horizontal pipe flow and related equations.
USEFUL FOR

Students and professionals in engineering, particularly those focused on fluid mechanics, civil engineering, and anyone seeking to understand the mathematical foundations of pipe flow dynamics.

Btw,

I want to give more information about the problem,
It's a pipe that position in horizontal direction

I don't have any idea about how it come from..
I am sorry if i put the question in wrong criteria, I just guest it's same as physics.
I am waiting any information or literature about this formula.
Thanks a lot for your helpfull

Try R.C. Hibbeler Mechanics of materials or statics.
