What should I be studying to better understand the Universe?

Yes I know I’ll/we’ll never fully understand the universe, but I want to have a better understanding of it than I do now. So what thing(s) should I study? I’ve been reading about things such as general relativity, black holes, subatomic particles and the Big Bang, but what else should I be reading about?
