What should I do now that I can't study in the current course to lack of funding

SUMMARY

The discussion centers on a student who completed O and A level exams and attended Imperial College London for a BSc in Physics but faced financial difficulties leading to a decision to withdraw from the course. The student is now exploring options to transfer to a university in the USA or Canada or to start a new course entirely. The key conclusion is that the student should consider transferring to another university rather than dropping out completely, as this could provide a pathway to complete their education.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of university transfer processes in the USA and Canada
  • Familiarity with financial aid options for international students
  • Knowledge of academic requirements for transferring universities
  • Awareness of different academic programs available in North America
NEXT STEPS
  • Research university transfer policies in the USA and Canada
  • Explore financial aid and scholarship opportunities for international students
  • Investigate academic programs that align with previous studies in Physics
  • Connect with academic advisors at potential universities for guidance
USEFUL FOR

International students considering transferring universities, individuals facing financial challenges in education, and anyone seeking guidance on academic pathways in North America.

Hello,

I completed my O level exams in 2006 from Bangladesh and my A level exams in 2009 from the UK with A's in all the subjects. Then I enrolled at Imperial College London on the BSc physics program. I completed my second year in 2011 and then I faced a financial problem, so I spoke with my department head and was allowed to interrupt my studies for one year.

Now, I am supposed to go back to the UK in October for my final year, but since I haven't managed my tuition fee, I have decided to withdraw from the course.

Now, I am looking into opportunities in the USA and Canada to either transfer to another university or to begin a new course altogether.

I would be grateful if you could suggest whether I should drop the subject entirely (i.e. not think of transferring) or start out fresh in another course.
