Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around locating a ready-made 2.45 GHz oscillator, with participants sharing suggestions and resources for finding such components.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant asks where to find a 2.45 GHz oscillator.
  • Another humorously suggests looking in the kitchen, referencing common household items that operate at that frequency.
  • Several participants point to online resources, including a Google search link, and mention specific brands like Maxim, z-comm, mini-circuits, and rf bay as potential sources for voltage-controlled oscillators.
  • There is a request for additional resources, prompting a question about the adequacy of the previously suggested options.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants generally agree on the availability of oscillators and provide various suggestions, but there is no consensus on the necessity for further resources or the adequacy of the initial suggestions.

Contextual Notes

Some responses include humor and informal suggestions, which may not directly address the technical requirements of the original inquiry.

Who May Find This Useful

In your kitchen.

hhhhh good one, the kitchen,

thanks berkeman

You can get a VCO (voltage controlled oscillator)

Check out brands z-comm, mini-circuits, rf bay

These are usually self contained oscillators, just apply dc voltage

thanks what they were really useful links, I appreciate it

Any more?

Why do you need more? What was wrong with the ones suggested? Did you look through the Google hit list?
