Which citation manager do you use?

I have used Mendeley for 10 years. But it is extremely slow. Every single click will take it 5 min. or so....
I have about 8500 references in it, and I need to work with LaTex and WORD.
Is there other reference manager can I use?

i have tried to use Zotero but it seem foreign to me.

i tried to import papers and book but it seem to copy everything into its directory which occupied huge space.

did i made any mistakes?
