To determine the appropriate graph paper for power relationships, use log-log graph paper for equations of the form y=b.x^a. In contrast, semi-log graph paper is suitable for relationships expressed as y=b.a^x. The choice between these two types of graph paper depends on the specific mathematical relationship being analyzed. Understanding the nature of the data is crucial for accurate representation. Selecting the correct graph paper enhances clarity in visualizing power relationships.

After collecting data from an experiment and realizing that there is a power relationship, how do u know if u need to use semi log graph paper or log-log paper to graph your data?
The book claims the answer is that all the magnitudes are the same because "the gravitational force on the penguin is the same". I'm having trouble understanding this. I thought the buoyant force was equal to the weight of the fluid displaced. Weight depends on mass which depends on density. Therefore, due to the differing densities the buoyant force will be different in each case? Is this incorrect?
