The discussion critiques the game "Bioshock," highlighting its gameplay and themes as disturbing and sadistic, particularly the use of young girls as resources for gaining "Eve." Critics argue that the game's terminology, particularly "Adam and Eve," carries sexual connotations and implies a deeper, unsettling message. Despite the negative reception from some players, the game receives high praise from critics, raising questions about whether the most controversial games are deemed the best. Participants emphasize that players have a choice to save or harvest the girls, with rewards tied to the moral decisions made. The conversation also touches on concerns regarding the game's installation process and potential security risks.

Considering the disturbing games that are out there I find it amusing you pick on Bioshock, which is lame comparitively.

There is NO part of the game that ever mentions or infers sexually abusing children.

You're adding that aspect to it on your own accord.

In my opinion their is a subliminal message suggestive of that. The quote you are referring to is a response to someone saying that the church of satan isn't evil. The church of satan advocates that.

The're not subliminal, THEY'RE AS BLATANT AS THEY CAN BE. Read and UNDERSTAND the setting behind Bioshock.

You're looking too deep into something that isn't deep.

Saying that bioshock isn't a deep game is flat out wrong and everyone who has ever played it knows that. The very appeal of the game is how deep the game is, how everything in it is for a purpose. The very story of the game is so philosophically deep that man still hasn't solved it. The game goes deep into the realm of religion, why it exists, and into the questionable nature of mankind.

This game is just as Satanic as the choices that you have to make on a daily basis. It's your interpretation.

In the game you don't have a choice whether or not to kill the enemy. As I said before, they make you feel sorry for them, then they make you kill them. I hope I am never presented with that in real life.

GTA is like sonic the hedgehog compared to Bioshock. I haven't play the others you mentioned, but you still haven't explained why. I played hitman and it is bad, but didn't bother me that much.

I can flat out tell you that you're spinning this thing better than FOX or CNN ever could.

Only pointing out what seams obvious to me.

The more I hear how other people view this game, the more I feel I must be very different than most people. I also get the feeling that satanism is a very popular philosophy.

You're half right. You're very different than most people. Get you to a therapist. You're not the GOOD kind of different. You are over reacting and I am really afraid you are going to have some sort of panic attack in a moment. Nobody should get this worked up over a game like that.

Or maybe you're just sheltered? I had to read All Quiet on the Western Front in High School. What about you?
