Hi guys,

is there a reason why the energy of the harmonic oscillator is always written as:$$
E_{n} = \hbar \omega (n + \frac{1}{2})$$
instead of :
$$
E_{n} = h \nu (n + \frac{1}{2})$$
?

THX
