Object colors appear different under artificial light compared to sunlight primarily because artificial light lacks the full spectrum of wavelengths present in natural sunlight. Sunlight, while predominantly yellow, contains all seven colors, allowing for a more accurate perception of color. In contrast, artificial light sources emit light in varying proportions, which can distort color appearance. Additionally, artificial light is generally less bright than sunlight, further affecting color perception. The human eye also responds differently to the wavelengths emitted by artificial sources, contributing to the overall difference in color appearance.

In artificial light, the colours of objects look different than in sunlight. Give the reason.
1)Since the sun is yellow, daylight does not have light of all seven colours.
2) Artificial light does not have all the wavelengths in the same proportion as sunlight.
3) artificial light is not as bright as sunlight
4)Our eyes are not as receptive to all wavelengths in the same proportion emitted by artificial source.

I think the second option is correct!

You are correct.

The book claims the answer is that all the magnitudes are the same because "the gravitational force on the penguin is the same". I'm having trouble understanding this. I thought the buoyant force was equal to the weight of the fluid displaced. Weight depends on mass which depends on density. Therefore, due to the differing densities the buoyant force will be different in each case? Is this incorrect?
