Tough one. For me at least. My vocabulary isn't always as big as I'd like to think. At least I dont have to talk to you ppl. I'd probably sound like a 12 year old having read too many programming books.

I'd end up using stereoisometry, encapsulation, yellowjacket and daddy longlegs in the same sentence. :)

Any of you ever nailed it in one?

Yup. See post #947. I have stuck with the same seed so I don't expect a repeat.

I remember that I once thought: Should I take A or B, to begin with? I chose B and A was the solution.

Yes, Catholics had an advantage.

Not only Catholics, but also Eastern Orthodox Christians. The Filioque that was added by the Catholic church to the formulation of this five-lettered word was one of the causes that led the the schism between the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches in the 11th century. Whatever happened to good old power struggle?

I must confess, I had to cheat on this one. I found a scrabble website where I could find words ending in "O"

This cheating was so unsatisfying that I will never do that again.

Astounding so much credence a snippet of historic [sic?] information lends to a game of relatively little historical [sic?] impact.

Just now I had to look up whether to use historic or historical. Did I get it right? Does it matter? Do I have too much free time? :)

I don't think so. It was a snippet of historical information about a historic event.
The information is current, e.g. in my post, the web etc. The fact that this information is an account of something that happened in the past makes it historical.

The event itself is over and done and resides entirely in the past. There are many such events that fit this description, e.g. I brushed my teeth this morning, so that alone does not make them historic. A historic event is one that, in addition to being over and done, affects subsequent events and alters "business as usual.". The schism between the two churches was such an event. The Russian Revolution was another.

Why are you asking? Do you feel guilty for indulging yourself once in a while? Have you pondered about the distinction between electric and electrical? We have electrical engineers figuring out electric fields; we do not have electric engineers figuring out electrical fields.

Again such a situation when I had two words to start with and I have chosen the wrong one:

About learning Engslish I'm quite serious. I have few opportunities for speaking the language and obviously my vocabulary exceeds my understanding of details.

And no. Not guilty as such but sonetimes I wonder if not my time could've been used more productively.

It's hard really :)
