SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the NEFFUL clothing's ability to release anions through the Triboelectric effect when in contact with skin. Participants express skepticism about the claims of health benefits associated with these anions and seek peer-reviewed journal articles to substantiate these assertions. The conversation highlights the need for scientific validation of the health benefits mentioned in the attachment, particularly regarding the fate of cations produced during ionization.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of the Triboelectric effect
  • Knowledge of ionization processes
  • Familiarity with health benefit claims in textiles
  • Ability to evaluate peer-reviewed scientific literature
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the Triboelectric effect and its applications in textiles
  • Investigate the role of cations in ionization and their implications
  • Look for peer-reviewed studies on the health benefits of anions
  • Explore government health agency resources on textile safety and health claims
USEFUL FOR

Textile engineers, health researchers, consumers interested in wellness products, and anyone evaluating the scientific basis of health claims in clothing technology.

Recently I heard that NEFFUL clothes, when rubbed with our skin, could release anions (refer to attached image for more details). I do not doubt the generation of anion, due to Triboelectric effect. But could anyone advise, where does the "cations" that were produced during the ionization go?

Since the attachment claims Health Benefits, we will need journal references to the research behind this. @abcd8989 -- please send me a message (click on my avatar and Start a Conversation) with peer-reviewed journal articles that discuss these Health Benefits. Links to government health agency articles would work as well. Then we can re-open this thread. Thank you.
